News Story - Halley engineers AECOM Shortlisted for ICE London Civil Engineering Award

AECOM’s British Antarctic Survey Halley VI Antarctic Research Station project has been shortlisted for the ICE London Civil Engineering Awards’ Designed in London Award category. This category rewards projects of excellence situated outside London — developed by teams in London. It recognises the significance of work conducted by London’s civil engineers both nationally and globally.
Director of ICE London, Miranda Housden, said: “The breadth and quality of this year’s entrants was outstanding and showcases the ingenuity and expertise of London’s civil engineers.”
Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony hosted by ICE President Geoff French on 22nd May at ICE’s historic headquarters at One Great George Street.
This year’s judging panel, chaired by ICE Fellow Rod Macdonald, includes Deputy Mayor of London Cllr Victoria Borwick AM; Simon Kirby, Managing Director of Infrastructure Projects, Network Rail; Chris Millard, Business Efficiency Director, Balfour Beatty; Thomas Lane, Technical Editor, Building and John Turzynski, Director, Arup.
