Charles Amsler, PhD and James McClintock, PhD co-principle investigators from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, currently conducting research at Palmer Station in Antarctica, were recently interviewed by CNN.com. They discuss their roles as scientists in the IPY as well as how living and working in Antarctica has changed in over 20 years of traveling to and working there.
Very nice article and audio sideshow that goes with it. Check it out.
