Arctic Change: An Interdisciplinary Dialog Between the Academy, Northern Peoples, and Policy Makers
Our IPY activities are designed to further an interdisciplinary and cross-institutional discussion about climate change, Arctic peoples, and international policy through: a series of lectures and workshops; a museum exhibition and related publications; and, the organization of the 2007 Arctic Science Summit Week (ASSW).

Ice Station Antarctica Travelling Exhibition
Ice Station Antarctica is an interactive travelling exhibition developed by in partnership with the British Antarctic Survey. The exhibition challenges visitors to see if they've got what it takes to live and work in Antarctica. Engaging young people with the science, mysteries and career opportunities in Antarctica. Launches May 2007 at NHM London and tours worldwide from May 08 to May 2013.

CIYCP: Circumpolar Youth Conservation Network
Indigenous youth will inherit large portions of the north and the responsibility for protecting its natural resources. They will choose future livelihoods in a world where economic, political and environmental decisions occur in multinational global forums. This project will develop future environmental decision-makers and indigenous community leaders who understand and appreciate conservation issues and the roles of science, indigenous knowledge and politics in conservation decision-making.""

This is a collective project to produce and promote quality books reflecting IPY themes with global audience appeal. Project members provide resources from their books for use in IPY education and outreach. I-TASC: Interpolar Transnational Art Science Constellation
ITASC is a decentralized network of individuals and organisations working collaboratively in the fields of art, engineering and science on the interdisciplinary development and deployment of renewable energy, waste recycling systems and sustainable architecture to enable the production and distribution of open-format, open-source remote field research in Antarctica and the Arctic. ITASC is a lichen-like structure sharing and integrating local knowledge, resources and skills across seven continents in order to symbiotically engage with the air, ocean, earth and space commons.

Inuit Voices: Observations of Environmental Change
The “Inuit Voices” traveling exhibition relates the story of climate change through the eyes of the Inuit, Arctic peoples who are witnessing changes to the environment that has sustained them for a thousand years. The National Snow and Ice Data Center and the University of Colorado Museum, Boulder, collaborated on the development of “Inuit Voices,” which opened in April 2008.

IPY @ Grand Valley State University
This project encompasses a variety of events to engage the community, teachers, and students in programs to increase awareness and understanding of polar issues. These activities will allow participants to learn about the science, mathematics, and technology related to exploring, living, and working in the Polar Regions and will focus on developing an understanding the importance of these regions both scientifically and culturally.
